Your money is going places.

Some of it may be going to cover a home purchase, tuition, or a big expense in the next few years.

Some of it is destined for retirement.

Some of it may never be for you at all—it may travel through time for your children or grandchildren.

Those are different destinations, so they need different timelines.

Money you may need soon should be easy to access and less exposed to market swings.

Money you will not touch for years has more time to recover from volatility and keep growing.

The key is making sure your investments match the destination.

That is how we think about time horizon at Divine.

What would your family need if you were suddenly gone?

Not the big legal documents. The practical stuff.

Where are the accounts?
Who do they call?
Where are the insurance policies?
Who has authority to act?
Could someone other than you pull together a clear list of what exists?

Most families have the pieces. They are just scattered across files, portals, advisors, and memory.

A simple financial map can make all of that much easier.

One place that says what you have, where it is, and who to contact.

Review it once a year. Make sure someone you trust knows where to find it.

Financial transparency is an act of love.

Your business' revenue is more valuable when it's not about YOU.

Not all revenue is equally valuable.

A client may generate significant revenue, but if the relationship depends entirely on you, that revenue carries more risk.

The strongest revenue is tied to the business itself.

The client knows your team.
The work is delivered consistently.
The relationship flow is documented.
The revenue can continue without your constant involvement.

That matters whether you sell your company or not.

The more revenue that can continue without you at the center of it, the stronger and more transferable the business becomes.

We really are the world.

Your “U.S.” portfolio may be far more global than it looks.

Many of the companies you own sell around the world, manufacture in multiple countries, earn revenue in different currencies, and are affected by economic and policy decisions well beyond the U.S.

So the label on the fund only tells you part of the story.

At Divine, we like to look underneath it.

Where is the revenue actually coming from?
Which currencies matter?
Which regions and economies are driving the results?

That gives you a much clearer picture of what you actually own—and how globally connected your portfolio already is.

Large clients can be excellent for your business. But once one relationship represents a meaningful share of revenue, you need to understand the exposure.

Look at:
☞ What percentage of revenue comes from your largest client
☞ Whether that revenue is recurring or contractual
☞ How profitable the relationship actually is
☞ Whether several people on your team know the client
☞ What would happen if the client left

As a general rule, once one client reaches 20%+ of revenue, concentration deserves real attention. At 30–40%, it can become a significant issue in a sale or valuation.

You do not need to get rid of a great client. You do need to know how dependent your business has become on one relationship.

Start with your top five clients and know the numbers.

Who owns the relationship with your business’ largest clients?

If the answer is “me,” consider the risk.

A strong client relationship is absolutely an asset. But if you are the only person the client knows, trusts, or calls, that relationship is still tied to you personally—not fully to the business.

Your largest client relationships need coverage across the company. Start spreading the love...

This can look like:
☞ Multiple points of contact
☞ Clear service history
☞ Strong contracts
☞ Regular communication with the broader team

You do not need to step away from your best clients.

The goal is to make sure those relationships are strong enough to continue without depending entirely on you.

You can own five different funds in your portfolio and still have far more overlap than you realize.

This is something we look at all the time.

A couple of ETF index funds, a Nasdaq fund, and a couple of managed funds may look diversified on your statement. But once we review the companies within, the picture can be very different.

You may discover that several of those funds own many of the same companies; meaning your exposure to a handful of names is larger than you thought.

When we review a portfolio, we break it down so you can actually see:
☞ What you own.
☞ Where the overlap is.
☞ Where you may be concentrated.
☞ What each investment is doing for you.

The goal is to make the portfolio make sense—not on your statement, but to YOU.

If no one has ever shown you your investments this way, let's dig in.

How pressure-tested is your business? Try this with me.

Imagine you are completely unavailable for 30 days.

No checking email. No quick texts. No “just call me if you need me.”

What stops?

Which decisions wait for you?

Which clients only want to talk to you?

Which numbers are harder to find than they should be?

Which approvals pile up because no one else really owns them?

That list tells you a lot.

Most business owners I know can name a few things almost immediately. Pricing. Key client issues. Financials. Final reviews.

You don't have to fix all of it at once.

But once you can see where the business still relies on you, you can start moving some of that weight.

And that is how you build a business that can grow without requiring more and more of you.

If every decision in your business ends with you, your team is not really making decisions.

One of the simplest things you can do is create a three-limbed decision tree.

1. What only you decide.
2. What your team can decide within clear limits.
3. What no longer needs approval at all.

For example:

Refunds under a certain amount? Handle it.
Spending within budget? Handle it.
A major pricing change? Bring it to you.

The clearer those boundaries are, the fewer questions come back to your desk.

And your team gets better at actually running the business.

The Broverse and AI? You may all bow to the She-conomy.
💅
The great engine of economic growth over the last 75 years has been the rise of women’s economic participation.

As women entered the workforce, earned more, built businesses, led organizations, and gained more control over household spending and capital, the economy grew with us.

And we are just getting started.

Women now influence enormous amounts of consumer spending, own and build more businesses, hold more wealth, and make more financial decisions than ever before.

The She-conomy is not a side story. No Trad-businesses here.
