🚨 NEW IRS UPDATE:
Do this BEFORE mid-November if you'll file taxes in 2027

The IRS just dropped IR-2026-127 and this one has a deadline.

Get your Identity Protection PIN/ IP PIN before the IRS online system goes down for maintenance in mid-November.

It comes back up in mid-January, but by then filing season is rolling and the scammers are already working.

An IP PIN is a six-digit number that stops someone else from filing a tax return using YOUR Social Security number.

Only you and the IRS know it, and you can get one even if you're not required to file a return.

Sometimes entrepreneurship has you so focused on what's next that you forget to look at what you've already built.

So today I'm taking a second to celebrate.

The clients.

The returns.

The referrals.

The reviews.

The bookkeeping work.

The lessons.

The late nights.

The things that didn't work.

The things that DID.

Let's talk about something important:

**Choosing your tax preparer.**

Be cautious if someone:

🚩 Promises you a specific refund before reviewing your information.

🚩 Files with last pay stub

🚩 Tells you to claim something you know isn't accurate.

🚩 Doesn't explain anything.

🚩 Won't give you a copy of your return.

🚩 Asks you to sign something you don't understand.

🚩 Encourages you to provide false information.

Your tax return is YOUR responsibility too.

Ask questions.

Review your documents.

Work with someone you trust.

And never be afraid to ask:

**“Can you explain this to me?”**

A good tax experience should leave you informed, not confused.
