🎉 Welcome to the Team! 🎉

We are excited to welcome three new faces to MWH this week!

Madison Wert joins our Tax Department after recently earning her BBA in Accounting from MSU Texas and is currently pursuing her MBA in Accounting. She is looking forward to expanding her accounting knowledge and applying what she has learned in the classroom to real-world client work.

Macey Hawkins also joins our Tax Department after recently graduating from MSU Texas with a BBA in Accounting. She plans to continue her education by pursuing her MBA in Accounting. Macey is excited to begin her first full-time role and gain firsthand experience with the opportunities and challenges that come with a professional accounting career.

Evan Rios joins us as a summer intern while completing his Accounting degree at Texas Tech University. Evan is looking forward to learning about the professional work environment, collaborating with our team, gaining hands-on experience, and building new connections.

A few of our team members recently returned from the annual SWPMG Spring General Session meeting! It was a great opportunity to connect with other accounting firms, exchange ideas, and take part in valuable learning sessions that help us continue growing and serving our clients well.

Of course, it wasn’t all work — we also enjoyed some fun together, including a friendly scavenger hunt competition that brought out everyone’s teamwork and competitive spirit! We’re grateful for opportunities like these that allow our team to learn, collaborate, and build stronger connections both professionally and personally.

Please join us in welcoming two new team members to our Decatur office — Mason Durrett, CPA and Melodie Ferraro! 🎉

Mason recently obtained his CPA license and joins MWH Group with prior experience at a Big Four accounting firm, where he specialized in serving asset management, private equity, oil and gas partnerships, and high-net-worth individuals. He earned both his bachelor’s degree in accounting and master’s degree in taxation from the University of North Texas. Mason is looking forward to working with local clients and building strong relationships within the community.

Melodie is joining our administrative department and brings valuable experience in administration and customer service. We are excited to have her as one of the friendly faces greeting our clients. She is passionate about relationship-building and is looking forward to getting to know our clients, understanding their needs, and helping ensure they have a positive experience with MWH Group.
