The AICPA Auditing Standards Board (ASB) has issued an exposure draft with proposed updates to the attestation standards, aiming to address sustainability reporting and other emerging assurance areas. Public comments are open through June 30.

The exposure draft includes:
🔹 Updates to the baseline attestation standards
🔹 Two new AT‑C sections for sustainability reporting engagements

Final adoption is expected next year, with an effective date for engagements beginning on or after June 15, 2029.
