National College Financial Prep Week is the perfect time to review your college savings strategy. Here are a few points to consider:

✅A 529 Plan offers tax-advantaged growth and can be used for qualified education expenses like tuition, fees, and even some K–12 costs.

✅Recently, 529 plans were updated under the SECURE 2.0 act to include the ability to roll unused funds into a Roth IRA. However, there are several important limitations to be aware of.

✅ If a 529 plan isn’t right for you, you have other options like Coverdell ESAs or custodial accounts (UGMAs/UTMAs).

✅The best plan for you and your student depends on your goals, timeline, and tax picture.

Regardless of which plan you pick, you’ll want to start early, even with small contributions.

Regular contributions combined with compound growth can make a big impact on a college savings plan.

If you want to review your options, give us a call. We are here as a resource.

Financial wellness isn’t just about the future; it’s also about feeling secure in the present. In recognition of Financial Wellness Month, consider these benefits that are gaining traction:

✅Retirement planning education - It’s not enough to offer a 401(k) — employees need to understand how to use it. Providing financial literacy workshops or digital education on contribution strategies, compounding, and investment basics builds confidence and long-term participation.

✅Student loan repayment assistance - With new legislation allowing employer-matching contributions for student loan payments, helping employees pay down student loan debt while saving for retirement has never been easier — or more appreciated.

If you’re interested in integrating these benefits into your business’s financial strategy, give us a call today.

In recognition of Financial Wellness Month, it’s a great time to explore the benefits that can help support your employees’ financial needs.

Here are two impactful options that work to support employees:

✅Earned wage access - Life doesn’t wait until payday. Giving employees the option to access a portion of their earned wages early can help them handle emergencies without turning to costly alternatives.

✅Emergency savings accounts - Many workers lack a financial cushion for unexpected expenses. Employer-sponsored savings options — especially those with auto-enrollment or matching — can help employees build resilience and avoid high-interest loans.

If you’re interested in learning more about these benefits or introducing them into your benefits package, give us a call.

If you’re thinking about retirement, you might be considering Social Security benefits as part of your plan. But you might not realize that you could be preparing now to help increase your benefit later.

Here are some key Social Security strategies that could help maximize your benefit more — and bring you greater peace of mind down the road:

✅ Work at least 35 years - Social Security is based on your 35 highest-earning years. If you’re only a few years off of this target, you may want to consider working until you hit the 35-year mark.

✅ Consider additional earning opportunities - Raises, promotions, or side gigs that increase your income can count toward a higher future benefit.

✅ Check your earnings record - Errors or missing income can shrink your future payments. Review and correct them through your My Social Security account.

✅ Wait until full retirement age - Claiming Social Security benefits early can reduce your monthly amount for life. Waiting until your full retirement age can pay off.

✅ Consider delaying benefits - For every year you delay past your full retirement age, your benefit increases. Depending on your personal health and financial needs, delaying your Social Security benefits can help you earn more as you age.

While these strategies may work for some, it’s important to discuss the best approach for your unique situation with a financial advisor.

That’s where we come in. Give us a call today, and we can discuss a holistic wealth management strategy that considers current needs and future goals.

To start the new year off with some positivity, we’re sharing a heartwarming story from Victoria, Australia, where a golden retriever named Denni surprised her owner by offering an unlikely ride to a baby koala.

Upon hearing some commotion in the yard, Denni’s owner, Steve, stepped outside to find the young joey clinging to Denni’s back, perfectly content. It’s believed the koala had fallen from a nearby tree, and Denni instinctively offered comfort and support.

After a brief adventure around the backyard, Steve carefully returned the baby to a nearby tree, where its mother later came back to retrieve it. A simple gesture from one animal to another, but one that continues to bring smiles around the world.

Financial stress can easily carry into the workplace, affecting focus, productivity, and overall well-being. This Financial Wellness Month is a good time to consider how your organization is helping employees feel more confident about their finances.

Here are two tools that can make a meaningful impact:

✅Budgeting tools - Guided platforms that track spending, categorize expenses, and help employees build realistic savings goals. These tools give employees more control and more peace of mind.

✅One-on-one financial coaching - Personalized support from a financial expert can help employees tackle what matters most to them, whether that’s managing debt, planning a major purchase, or building credit.

Interested in these or other financial benefits? Give us a call today.
