Guess it's Halloween candy for breakfast, then – People who regularly indulge in late-night snacking may have a 20-30% increased risk for 2 types of potentially fatal liver disease, cirrhosis and fatty liver disease. Did you know that only 48 states observe daylight saving time? Hawaii and most of Arizona skip the twice-yearly clock changes altogether! In fact, Arizona has stayed on standard time since 1968, largely to avoid extending daylight into its already scorching summer evenings. And until 2006, most of Indiana did not observe daylight saving time.

For most of us, daylight saving time ends Sunday, November 1. Turn your clocks back one hour and enjoy that extra sleep!

Stack those 3 quarters together and the numbers get downright spooky, in a good way. Per Stock Trader's Almanac data, this 9-month "sweet spot" has averaged gains of 19.3% for the Dow, 20.2% for the S&P 500, and a whopping 29.4% for the Nasdaq. Compare that to avg declines of 2.0%, 2.5%, and 6.6% during the weak stretch just before it. Averages aren't guarantees… but it's quite the setup heading into 2027. - Yahoo Finance, 10/21/26

The 4th qtr. of a midterm year and the first 2 quarters of the following pre-election year are the 3 strongest quarters of the entire 4-year presidential cycle. Since 1950, the S&P 500 has risen in Qtr4 more than 84% of the time (averaging +6.6%). The following Qtr1 was up nearly 95% of the time (+7.4%), and Qtr2 nearly 74% of the time (+5%).
