In South Africa, VAT registration is compulsory once your annual turnover exceeds R2.3 million. But voluntary registration can actually benefit smaller businesses too!

Here's why it matters:
✅ Claim back VAT on business expenses
✅ Improve credibility with larger clients
✅ Stay ahead of SARS compliance requirements
✅ Avoid penalties for late or missed registration

Not sure where your business stands? Numberwize will assess your situation and handle your VAT registration and returns, start to finish.

This is the first change since 2009, and it's a game-changer for small businesses across the country.
What does this mean for YOU?

✅ If your turnover is below R2.3 million, you are no longer required to be VAT-registered
✅ Less admin, fewer returns, and reduced compliance costs
✅ More breathing room to focus on growing your business

But wait, there's more to consider before you deregister:
⚠️ You'll lose the ability to claim back VAT on business expenses
⚠️ Some larger clients may prefer to work with VAT-registered suppliers
⚠️Any VAT previously claimed on assets, stock, or expenses may need to be repaid to SARS when deregistering for VAT.

Not sure what's best for your business? That's exactly what we're here for!
At Numberwize, we'll help you weigh up the pros and cons and make the right call for your specific situation.
