Prince William Art Society members will be exhibiting their artwork throughout the Buchanan Partners Art Gallery during this year’s Arts Alive! Festival.

Find us on the second floor to explore the gallery, meet some of our artists, and learn more about PWAS and our work in the community.

This weekend, we were honored to visit Jewell Pratt Burns and present her with a commemorative plaque and gifts of appreciation for her continued support of the Prince William Art Society.

Since 2008, The Jewell Pratt Burns Art Scholarship has helped create meaningful opportunities for young artists in our community. Jewell also had an enthusiastic audience as she shared stories about PWAS, her artwork, and the inspiration behind her creative journey.

It was a pleasure to recognize Jewell’s generosity, dedication, and well-deserved distinction as an Honorary Lifetime Member of PWAS.

Thank you, Jewell Pratt Burns , for your enduring commitment to PWAS and the arts!

Join the Prince William Art Society on September 28, 2026, at 7:30 PM for an informative guest speaking event featuring Jordan Exum at the Tall Oaks Community Center (12298 Cotton Mill Dr, Woodbridge, VA 22192).

In this Art Biz Talk, Ms. Exum will guide artists through the essential process of exhibition planning and preparing work for gallery display. She will cover everything that entails, from selecting and framing pieces to meeting professional gallery standards, navigating submission requirements, and presenting a cohesive body of work.

About Jordan Exum

Originally from eastern North Carolina, Ms. Exum holds a BA in Art History & Appreciation from East Carolina University and an MA in Art History from George Mason University. Drawing on her extensive background in exhibition planning, public engagement, and her current work at the ARTfactory, she brings a thoughtful, informed perspective to helping artists showcase their creative vision effectively.

Explore an expressive approach to watercolor landscape painting with member artist David Dillon!

Designed for beginner and intermediate painters, this hands-on workshop invites participants to paint alongside the instructor using a provided landscape reference. Watercolor supplies will be available, or you may bring your own.

Last night’s PWAS Show & Share gave members an opportunity to showcase finished pieces and works in progress, discuss their creative processes, and receive thoughtful feedback from fellow artists.

Thank you to everyone who brought artwork, shared their insight, and helped make the evening both inspiring and encouraging. We loved seeing the range of talent and creativity within our community!

Join fellow PWAS members for a casual Art Show & Share on Monday, August 24 at 7:30 PM at Tall Oaks Community Center.

Bring pieces you are currently working on, recently finished, or simply want to share. Tell us about your work, inspiration, or process, and talk through any creative challenges with like-minded artists. Exchange ideas, get fresh perspectives, and see what fellow members have been creating.

Bring as many pieces as you like! Working on a large piece, have a work in progress, or prefer not to transport your artwork? Send images to [email protected] of the pieces you would like to share, and we’ll have them ready for viewing and discussion during our meeting.

Finished or in progress, physical or digital, bring what you’d like to share.
