📣 Heads up, business owners — the IRS just made a rare mid-year move.

Starting July 1, 2026, the standard business mileage rate jumps to 76¢ per mile (up from 72.5¢), driven by this year's fuel-price surge.

That means 2026 has two rates: 🚗 Jan 1 – Jun 30 → 72.5¢/mile 🚗 Jul 1 – Dec 31 → 76¢/mile

👉 The catch: your mileage log needs to show when each trip happened so the right rate applies. A little recordkeeping now = a bigger, cleaner deduction at tax time.
