Got even one employee in Maryland? You must register for FAMLI — now, at paidleave.maryland.gov.
No exceptions — and your CPA or payroll provider can't register for you. You register first, then authorize them to manage it.
Dates to know:
• Jan 1, 2027 — contributions begin
• Apr 30, 2027 — first quarterly report due
• Jan 2028 — paid leave benefits begin, up to 12 weeks
👉 Solo owner with no other employees, including S corps? You're not counted as an employer for FAMLI.
