Last night, our firm and friends from Nacca & Capizzi, LLP beat out numerous other teams to become the 2026 Literacy Rochester Brain Game champions!

Literacy Rochester works to improve the reading, math, English language, and digital literacy skills of adults. Brain Game is an exciting annual trivia tournament that raises funds for adult literacy programs at Literacy Rochester.

Kelly, David, and Judy were honored to be asked to join the Modica Law Firm team at last night's Brain Game, Literacy Rochester's annual trivia tournament at the Hyatt Regency Rochester.

And we came in first place! 🎉

More importantly, every question answered went toward a great cause. Literacy Rochester helps adults in our community build the reading and writing skills that open doors to better jobs, more independence, and a brighter future for their families.

Thank you to Modica Law Firm for inviting us to be part of such a fun team, and to Literacy Rochester for a fantastic event. We are already looking forward to defending the title next year! 🧡

Whatever 2026 has looked like for your business so far, there is still time to shape how it finishes. The moves you make over the next three months are the ones that show up on your return in April.

A few worth thinking about now:

• Are there purchases or expenses worth timing before December 31?

Twenty-five years ago today. 🇺🇸

It is hard to believe a quarter century has passed since September 11, 2001. For those of us who lived through it, the details have not faded: where we were standing, who we called, how quiet the sky felt for days afterward.

Today we remember the nearly 3,000 people who lost their lives, the firefighters and police officers who ran toward the towers, and the families who have carried that loss every day for twenty-five years.

We also remember what came after: neighbors helping neighbors, communities pulling together, a country that chose to take care of one another.

Never forget.
