We’re a little late on this celebration, but we couldn’t let it pass without recognizing Scarlet’s one-year anniversary with Dennis & Associates! 🎉
Scarlet joined our team as a Tax Associate in August 2025, and over the past year, she’s brought a thoughtful, client-focused approach to her work and a genuine appreciation for the collaboration that happens behind the scenes.
When she’s not helping clients navigate complex tax matters, Scarlet loves photography, swimming and pottery. She also has a creative side you might not expect from a tax professional: her fashion-focused social media account recently reached 20K followers! 👏

September 15 is an important tax deadline! 📅

If applicable, your Q3 2026 estimated tax payment is due September 15.
Your payment amount can be found in the tax filing instruction letter included with your 2025 tax return, and you should also receive an automatic reminder from our tax software.

Not sure why you’re making quarterly payments?
The IRS operates on a “pay-as-you-go” basis. If you receive income that isn’t subject to regular withholding, such as self-employment earnings, business or rental income, investment gains, or distributions, you may need to make estimated payments throughout the year.

If your individual tax return is on extension, Dennis & Associates must receive all outstanding tax documents by August 31 to prepare your return for the October filing deadline.

Submitting everything by this date gives our team the time needed to carefully complete and review your return before filing.

💡 Think the Alternative Minimum Tax doesn’t apply to you? It may be worth another look.

The AMT is a separate tax calculation that may affect certain higher-income taxpayers. With recent changes to tax law, income levels, and available deductions, some people who haven’t had to think about the AMT in years may find that it becomes relevant to their tax planning again.

This may be especially important if you:

✔️ Are a higher-income taxpayer
✔️ Own significant investments
✔️ Experienced a major change in income
✔️ Had another significant financial event this year

The good news is that you don’t need to determine this on your own. Reviewing your tax strategy before year-end can help identify potential AMT exposure and give you time to plan accordingly.

If your personal tax return is on extension, please submit all outstanding documents to our team by August 31. Receiving everything by this date gives us the time needed to prepare your return before the October filing deadline.

And don’t forget: third-quarter estimated tax payments are due September 15.
