Granite Payroll Associates

Granite Payroll Associates Full-service payroll company Leaving payroll to experts frees up hours that you can devote to other important parts of your business.

Outsourcing your payroll to GRANITE PAYROLL can provide your small business with a number of important benefits:

Save time -- Using our payroll solution is typically more efficient for a small business than processing payroll internally. Whether it is your time, staff time, or a combination, chances are the hours could be better spent winning more business, improving customer service, fine-tuning

business operations or launching a new product line. Save money - Many business owners underestimate the cost of processing payroll internally by failing to account for all hours spent and resources allocated to pay employees and maintain payroll paperwork. A thorough cost assessment usually proves that a small business saves money by outsourcing the processing, tracking and filing of payroll documents. Avoid penalties - Calculating federal, state, and local employment taxes and filing payroll-related tax paperwork can be more than just a hassle. If it’s done incorrectly, your small business may face penalties and even interest on money owed since the mistake was made. In fact, it is estimated that one in three small businesses receive a tax penalty costing over $800 each year.

The IRS released a revised Form 941-X, Adjusted Employer’s Quarterly Federal Tax Return or Claim for Refund, and its instructions. The form was significantly revised to allow for correction of COVID-19-related employment tax credits reported on Form 941, Employer’s Quarterly Federal Tax Return, due to changes under the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021 (ARPA).

The instructions provide that employers will be able to use the revised instructions and the July 2021 revision of Form 941-X for all years for which the statute of limitations on corrections has not expired.

The revised Form 941-X can now be used to report corrections to these COVID-19-related items reported on Form 941: paid qualified sick and family leave wages, the employee retention credit, and the COBRA premium assistance tax credit.
