We were recently asked, “When you coach entrepreneurs, what do you do?”

The short answer is we help them think clearly about risk, opportunity, and long term decisions. Running a business often means wearing every hat at once. It is easy to stay busy but harder to step back and evaluate direction.

Coaching is about asking better questions, looking at tradeoffs, and planning moves before they become urgent. It is not about hype. It is about discipline, accountability, and making thoughtful decisions that align with the bigger picture.

Three exciting updates here at Summit. First, we are adding an encrypted document vault so clients can store and transmit personal information securely.

Second, once planning is complete, clients will receive access to the software so they can build models and run what if scenarios in the future.

Third, we have begun searching for and hiring a staff CPA who will work in house so tax strategy, investment strategy, RMDs, Social Security planning, financial planning, and business planning remain aligned.

These changes are about strengthening how we serve and improving coordination across everything we do.

What makes you comfortable and what makes you money may not be the same.

Money is a tool. It will not bring happiness, but it can bring misery if handled poorly. Growth often happens outside your comfort zone, where outcomes are not guaranteed.

Learning to calculate risks, identify opportunities, and plan your next moves are skills that take intention. Losing can be a better teacher than winning when you are accountable, coachable, and focused on improving.

Comfort feels safe. Growth requires movement.
