Help us welcome Ryan Hoppie to the team. Ryan is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional and Chartered Financial Consultant® with a heart for helping families feel more clear, prepared, and confident.

He grew up in southern Utah near Zion National Park, but he now calls Knoxville home. Ryan loves to be with his family, tackle home projects, serve through his church, and read.

This year, Lisa Wyrick (25 years), Brenda Shepherd (29 years), and Allyson Phillips (25 years) hit milestones that go far beyond tenure.

They were there before TVAMP was even TVAMP... answering calls, solving problems, and building the kind of client experience people remember.

In 2006, when the founders (Jeff Foster, Scott Fisher, and Jeff Sweat) decided to step away and build something independent, they didn’t do it alone. Lisa, Brenda, and Allyson made the same call… And left the security of an established firm for something that had no guarantee of working out. No safety net, no proven roadmap. Just a belief in the people they’d worked alongside and in what those people were trying to build.

Decades later, they’re still the steady, familiar voices our clients rely on. They’ve walked through life alongside the families we serve and helped shape the firm we are today.

We’re grateful for these three women, and we know our clients are, too. 💛

We’ve seen how powerful it is when an advisor leans into the work they’re truly meant to do.

For Richard Gardner, that meant stepping deeper into estate planning and becoming a Chartered Special Needs Consultant (ChSNC®). Today, he’s helping families navigate some of life’s most complex and emotional financial decisions.

Thomas founded Retire to Tellico in 2023 to serve the growing number of retirees in our region. In 2024, he was recognized by InvestmentNews as a top wealth advisor under 40.

He’s also passionate about education. On his YouTube channel, Refine Your Plan, he’s created 60+ videos, reached 6,000+ subscribers, and generated 380,000+ views.

Thomas began teaching personal finance at The University of Tennessee's college of business in 2023. This fall, he’ll join full-time to help design and lead its new CFP® program!
