Madison Square Garden has reportedly avoided nearly $1 billion in property taxes since 1982.
Most people stop there.
But what if the better question is:
How much tax revenue did New York generate from the millions of people who attended games, concerts, conventions, and events during that same period?
Great tax strategy isn’t always about collecting the most tax today.
It’s often about creating the most economic activity tomorrow.
The same principle applies to business owners.
The right tax strategy should create growth, not just reduce taxes.
