Financial literacy is slipping 📉
New data from the 2026 TIAA Institute–GFLEC Personal Finance Index shows it’s at its lowest level in a decade. U.S. adults answered just 46% of 8 core financial questions correctly on average—virtually unchanged from the broader index of 28 questions.

Key gaps remain:
• Men scored 49% vs. 42% for women
• Gen Z trailed all groups at just 38% correct
There’s work to do to close these knowledge gaps and build stronger financial confidence for everyone. 💬

Sometimes, you make do with what you have:

-Cars that get you from point A to B, mostly
-Food that sustains you but doesn’t nourish you
-Vacations that turn into stay-cations, if that
-Interiors that are outdated, or maybe were always more function than design
-Socks with worn soles and holes at the toes
-A long bucket list saved for someday, but never today

Making do can feel like living on a never-ending budget, like your credit card owns you instead of the other way around. It’s like a goose settled in a too-small puddle in an abandoned Frisch’s parking lot because it’s the only water it can find. Because it’s the only water it knows.

But you don’t have to stay in the puddle. Find the right person to help you navigate toward larger bodies of water. Because even if making do kept you afloat, you deserve something that lets you breathe.
