Congratulations to Elizabeth Corbett & her husband Zach Gubser. We can't wait to meet Baby G!
Elizabeth Corbett and her husband, Zach Gubser, of Fort Wright, KY wanted to celebrate the upcoming birth of their first child with family and friends, but their party was not a traditional baby shower. In lieu of the traditional gifts, Corbett and Gubser asked guests to instead consider a donation to EC LEARN.
“We’re lucky to have a lot of support from family and friends and baby items that have been passed down to us,” said Corbett. “We wanted to celebrate us being pregnant with our friends in a more casual environment and support an organization we care about.”
There were a number of reasons Corbett and Gubser selected EC LEARN as the charity to support through their baby shower. “Child care is especially on my mind right now since it’s such an important part of the team parents build around their child,” Corbett said. “Child care options can be so overwhelming, and I have access to a lot of information but not everyone does.”
Corbett is a Partner with Focus On Success, an independent financial advisory service in Fort Mitchell, KY where she sees the impact child care has on her team. “Quality and consistent child care impacts our employees’ ability to come to work and deliver great service to our clients. Child care is important to families, but it’s critical to our broader community, too.”
In addition to the money baby shower guests raised for EC LEARN, Focus On Success announced it will make a donation of $1,500 to the organization and Corbett and Gubser will match that contribution with a personal donation of their own.
