Don't Plan to Die Too Early
Most clients want us to use age 80 or 85 in their retirement plan.
But look at this chart. If you're already 70, your life expectancy is closer to 87. Hit 80 and it climbs to 89.
The older you get, the longer you're likely to live.
This is exactly why the financial plans we build at Village Private Wealth account for a longer life than most people expect. Income that holds up, spending that goes the distance, and a plan that doesn't quit before you do.
The biggest risk in retirement isn't dying too soon. It's running out of money before you run out of life.
