Can we stop pretending tax deductions are some magical form of free money? 🙃

Every year, business owners rush to make purchases before December 31st because someone told them it'll "save them on taxes." And sure, we love a good deduction, but spending $10,000 just to save a fraction of that in taxes isn't exactly the financial win you think it is.

If your business actually needs the equipment, let's make a plan. If you're just buying stuff to avoid taxes, we need to talk. The goal is to keep more of your hard-earned money, not find creative ways to spend it.

That's the difference between tax planning and just winging it.

You know what's a terrible way to start the new year? Playing detective with your vendor information.

Missing W-9s, outdated information, contractors who suddenly take three business weeks to respond to an email. You know the drill.

And somehow, every year, January shows up like it's a surprise.

Here's your reminder to get ahead of it. Review your vendors, check your W-9s, and track down what's missing NOW instead of scrambling when 1099 season rolls around.

It's a pretty simple task that can save you a whole lot of unnecessary headaches.

January is for getting things done. Not cleaning up what October could've handled.
