Halloween is over, but the pumpkins are staying put.

Somewhere between the spooky season and the holiday rush, there’s a stretch where things feel a little calmer. Porches are still decorated, the mornings are cozy, and the year is winding down.

It’s a good week to take a breath, and a good time to start thinking about how you want to finish the year.

One year ago, Bridgette joined our team. In that time, she's learned an enormous amount, and represented us at two recruiting events and as a hole sponsor at an annual golf tournament, which says a lot about how quickly she went from learning the ropes to being someone we trust out in front of people.

There's a word people around here keep using for what she's brought to the team: fresh air. Not just because she's new, but because she asks good questions and brings an energy that's genuinely rubbed off on the rest of us.

A year in, and she's already someone we'd put in front of anyone, clients, candidates, and a golf course full of strangers. That's no small thing for year one.

Congratulations on your first year, Bridgette. We're so glad you're here.

Nine years ago, Dillon joined our team. This year alone, he got married and was promoted to manager, which is a pretty good way to sum up how Dillon does things: steadily, and then all at once.

Ask anyone here and they'll tell you the same thing about him: he's the person people bounce things off of, not because he always has the answer, but because thinking out loud with him tends to make the answer more clear.

Nine years in, that's not luck. That's just who he is.

Congratulations Dillon, on the promotion, the marriage, and everything that got you here. We're glad you're on this team.

Monday thought: the last deadline of the year just passed, and there are 73 days left in it. That's not the finish line, it's the start of the only stretch where you actually get to plan instead of react.

It's worth making a real plan for and not just letting them go by.

Last Friday, our Managing Partner, Drew Barrett, CPA, joined Identity Clark County board members and investors for a tour of the Clark County Jail.

Public safety is one of those things most of us don’t think about until we need it. Seeing the facility firsthand was a reminder of how much our deputies, corrections staff, and justice partners do every day with the space and systems they have.

Identity Clark County is a group of business leaders who work to make our community a place where people can land, live, and learn for a lifetime. That work starts with listening, asking questions, and understanding what keeps Clark County strong, from transportation and education to the public safety services we all rely on.

We’re grateful to everyone who hosted the group and for the work you do every day.
