Accounting firms are seeing an increase in scams involving the notices the IRS is sending to taxpayers when they don't provide their direct deposit information.

Mississippi Annual Reports are due April 15th.

If you own a Mississippi business, you’ve likely received a reminder email from the Mississippi Secretary of State about filing your annual report.

Failure to file by the deadline can result in administrative dissolution of your business, and a reinstatement fee will be required to bring your company back into good standing.

We’re happy to help ensure your annual report is filed accurately and on time so your state records remain current.

We are still accepting new tax clients for this season. However, we will only be scheduling appointments through April 8, 2026.

For all clients — new and returning — we will do our best to complete returns that come in after April 8, but we cannot guarantee they will be finished by the April 15 tax deadline.

If needed, we can file an extension for you.

Current clients: please let us know if you would like us to file an extension on your behalf.

Thank you for your understanding during this busy season.

Historically, vehicle tax deductions were something only business owners could take advantage of.

The One, Big, Beautiful Bill changes that.

Eligible taxpayers may now be able to deduct up to $10,000 in interest paid on certain personal vehicle loans. It’s a meaningful change and one worth understanding.

If you’re curious whether this applies to you, we’re here to walk through the details. Give us a call (228) 967-7484 and make sure you are not leaving money on the table.

Some people prefer a refund at filing time. Others prefer to break even and keep more of their money throughout the year.

Which do you prefer, a refund or breaking even? Comment below and let us know!

Many people expect their tax refund to look the same each year, but refunds often change even when nothing feels different. Refund amounts are influenced by income changes, withholding adjustments made by employers, credits that phase in or out, and updates to tax law. Even small changes can affect the final number. A lower refund does not automatically mean you paid more tax overall. In many cases, it means your withholding was closer to what you actually owed during the year.

Understanding how these pieces work together helps set realistic expectations at filing time. If you are ready to file, tax season appointments are now available.

Small business taxes are not always neat and tidy. Records can be incomplete, overwhelming, or still living in a box somewhere. That is more common than people think.

We work with business owners at every stage, whether everything is already organized or nothing feels under control yet. Our role is to bring clarity, make sure all qualifying expenses are accounted for, and help get things back on track.

You do not need perfect records to get professional help.
That is exactly why we are here.

Business tax appointments are now available.

Tax law is not static. Each year brings adjustments to income thresholds, credit eligibility, reporting requirements, and deductions. Because of this, relying on last year’s return as a guide can lead to mistakes. What applied in a prior year may no longer apply or may apply differently based on income or filing status.

Working with someone who stays current on these changes can make a difference.
