Cape Cod Hospital and Falmouth Hospital are in urgent need of blood donations. Numerous blood drives are being held across Cape Cod in November to benefit Cape Cod Healthcare. Cape Cod Hospital and Falmouth Hospital must have at least one week’s worth of blood on hand at all times. Since each unit collected or purchased only lasts 42 days, it is a constant challenge to maintain sufficient supply. All the blood collected at Cape Cod Healthcare blood drives help our families, friends and neighbors.

All donors to Cape Cod Healthcare blood drives in November will receive a stainless-steel coffee mug.

On November 3, Cape Cod voters will find a question on their ballots that will not appear anywhere else in Massachusetts.

Question A asks whether Barnstable County should establish a Charter Study Commission to examine the structure of Cape Cod Regional Government and recommend whether it should be changed.

It may not attract the attention of the statewide ballot questions or the candidates running for higher office, but it could be one of the most consequential decisions Cape Cod voters make this year.

Calling All Cape Cod and Islands Artists!

The Arts Foundation of Cape Cod has two exciting opportunities for artists looking to grow their creative businesses and showcase their work!

✨ Capacity-Building Program for Artists: Emerging and established artists across Cape Cod, Martha’s Vineyard, and Nantucket can apply for a four-month professional development program featuring one-on-one and small-group coaching, workshops, business plan support, and connections with fellow creatives. Participants who complete the program will receive a $1,000 grant stipend.

🖼️ Call for Art: Deck the Walls: Artists are invited to submit original artwork for the Arts Foundation’s annual holiday art auction! A variety of mediums are welcome, offering artists an opportunity to share their work with the community and potential buyers. Artists may choose to donate all proceeds or receive 25% or 50% of their artwork’s sale price.
