It has been brought to our attention that June renewal cards are running late. You can still pay without your notice by calling or coming into the office. Please remember to bring your insurance card, or have a copy on your phone. You may also renew online at drive.ky.gov with your plate and title number.

Individuals have reported receiving text messages claiming to be from KYTC that demand traffic ticket or tolling payments and include a link.

Today’s audit was conducted and the results were 100%!! This process closes the 2026 Primary Elections.
Thanks to my Election Board- Josh Greenwell ( standing in for Sheriff Ramon) Kevin Clements and Janice Hall. Thanks to my team at the office, y’all rock!! Congratulations to all the Primary winners, we look forward to November.

Pursuant to KRS 117.383(8), to validate the accuracy and fidelity of the vote tabulation, the Nelson County Board of Elections will conduct a hand-to-eye audit of the vote cast in one randomly selected race from ballots tabulated by one randomly selected scanner.
The Secretary of State will randomly select race and scanner to be the subject of the audit.
This audit will take place May 22, 2026 at 9am at the Nelson County Civic Center on South 3rd Street.
The public may observe the audit.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who contributed to the success of the 2026 Primary Election. I am blessed to work with a great team and a dedicated Election Board. To all of our Poll Workers, I express my sincere gratitude for all of you. A huge thanks to the Nelson County Road Department who always helps with anything needed to make our Elections successful.
I would also like to thank the individuals who supplied the delicious snacks for all vote centers, we appreciate you all!!

The County Clerks office will be Closed on Tuesday 5/19/2026. We will be doing Election business only. We will reopen on Wednesday 05/20/2026 at 8:00 am.

Election Day, Tuesday, May 19th, registered Nelson County voters may vote at any polling location across the county between 6:00 am and 6:00 pm. Polling locations include:

-Nelson County Public Library,
-Bardstown Elementary School,
-Parkway Baptist Church,
-Nelson County High School,
-New Haven School,
-Boston School,
-Coxs Creek School,
-Bloomfield Middle School,
-Thomas Nelson High School.
