How to prepare financially for a slow season. 💰 Commission, small business, fewer winter shifts, or clients who disappear in December: a slow season is predictable. If you know it's coming, it is not an emergency.

1. Look back at last year and mark your slowest months.
2. Add up your must-pay bills for one of those months. That's your baseline.
3. Pick a set-aside amount from every good month and move it to a separate savings account.
4. Pause one or two flexible expenses before the slow months start.
5. Pay yourself a steady amount from that account when income dips.

5 money conversations every couple needs to have. 💚 So many money fights start with a conversation that never happened. Pick a calm evening, grab snacks, and take these one at a time.

1. What did money look like in the house you grew up in?
2. What do we owe right now, all of it, out loud?
3. How much can either of us spend without checking in first?
4. What are we saving for this year?
5. Who handles which bills, and when do we check in?

Something special for couples is coming this February, so stay close. 👀 Let's get free! 💛

Financial stress follows your employees to work. 👀

When someone is worried about rent, a car note, or a card that's past due, that worry sits in the meeting with them. It shows up as distraction, missed days, and burnout. A raise can help, but a plan helps every single month.

Truly Free brings practical financial wellness workshops to workplaces, schools, and community organizations. Budgeting, debt strategy, and building savings, taught in plain language with tools your team can use the same week.

We're booking 2027 dates now. DM me "WORKSHOP" or use the link in my bio to start the conversation. 💚

Quick question: when's the last time you checked your balance BEFORE you checked out? 👀

Overspending usually sneaks in through a bunch of "it's only $12" swipes made without looking. So this week, try the 10-second rule:

Before any purchase over $20, open your bank app.
Look at your balance and what's due before Friday.
Ask yourself, "Does this fit the plan?" If yes, enjoy it. If not, leave it in the cart for 24 hours.

Need help building a plan your purchases can actually fit into? Hit the link in my bio.

Sis, payday is not a holiday. That deposit hits and suddenly we deserve takeout, a Target run, and whatever's been sitting in the cart since August 👀

This payday, before you spend a dollar:

Pay the bills due before your next check.
Move your savings first, even if it's $10.
Pick a fun-money number and stop when it's gone.

Payday is your chance to run the plan. Need help building one that fits your real paycheck? Hit the link in my bio.

Holiday Money Check #2: Takeout + Food Delivery 🍔💰

Go back through last month’s bank statement and add up what you spent on:

🍟 DoorDash/Uber Eats
🍕 Takeout
☕ Coffee runs
🥡 Random “let’s just grab something” nights
🥪 Lunches during the workweek

And PLEASE don’t judge yourself when you see the number. 😂

We’re not doing guilt over here.

We’re getting intentional.

Instead of saying, “I’m not eating out AT ALL,” set a realistic limit for October, November, and December.

Try:

✨ Keeping 2–3 easy meals in the freezer for the nights you don’t feel like cooking
✨ Bringing lunch from home a couple days a week
✨ Picking up your order instead of paying delivery fees
✨ Planning your takeout nights BEFORE the week starts
✨ Moving the money you save directly into your holiday fund

Because if cutting back saves you even $40–$50 a week, that’s $160–$200 a month that can have a completely different assignment. 👀💰

We’re not saying you can never order the wings.

We’re saying the wings cannot keep eating up the Christmas money. 😂

Cut back with a PURPOSE.

Your holiday budget might already have money available...

You just have to stop having it delivered to the front door. 😭🎄💰

10/06/2026

🚨 DON’T LET THAT MONEY DISAPPEAR BACK INTO YOUR CHECKING ACCOUNT.

If you cancel $15 here and $20 there, move that money straight into your holiday fund.

Because $10–$20 may not feel like much by itself, but when you start stacking up a few subscriptions, that could be:

🎁 A gift
🥧 Part of Thanksgiving dinner
🎄 Holiday activities with the kids
⛽ Gas for holiday travel
💰 Or simply LESS money coming out of your regular paycheck

We’re not trying to magically create more money this holiday season.

We’re looking for the money that’s already there. 👀💰

So go check those subscriptions, sis.

Because Netflix might have been holding your Christmas money this whole time. 😂🎄

New week, sis. Before the first swipe, give your money 10 minutes this morning:

Check your real balance, not the one you're hoping for.
Look at what's due before Friday.
Pick ONE money move for the week, like packing lunch three days or moving even $10 to savings.

Every dollar is going somewhere this week. Decide where on Monday so Friday doesn't decide for you. Need help building a plan you'll actually stick to? Hit the link in my bio.
