Last week as part of Leadership Eau Claire, Maygen explored the inner workings of Government & Law in our community and she walked away with a few key lessons:
- Courthouse: Don’t break the law.
- City Hall: Pay your taxes.
- Fire Department: Check your smoke alarms.
- Wastewater Treatment Facility: “Flushable” wipes are not actually flushable.
- Water Plant: Homeowners, make sure you have backflow prevention.
- Parks & Recreation: Clean up after yourself and pay your park fees!
It was an eye-opening day learning how each department keeps Eau Claire running smoothly and how we can all do our part as community members.

Last week Maygen had the opportunity to kick off the 9-month Leadership Eau Claire program with an inspiring retreat! She spent time building connections through team-bonding activities and group discussions. In this program she will meet and learn the business leaders in the Chippewa Valley. Maygen is excited for the growth, collaboration, and insight the months ahead will bring!
