What if the next wave of AI isn’t happening on a screen — but in showrooms, factories, hospitals, and bank branches?
Singapore-based Whale has raised US$40 million, bringing its total Series C funding to US$100 million, as it expands its AI platform globally.
The startup combines hardware and software to capture what’s happening in physical environments — from sales conversations and customer traffic to service interactions.
Whale now works with 1,600+ enterprises across 45+ countries, with more than 600,000 devices in circulation. And retail is no longer its biggest opportunity.
The company is also moving into banking, where recording and analyzing customer conversations could create an audit trail for potentially disputed sales or investment advice.
That points to a bigger shift.
