This week’s goes to Lizzie Baking Bird.

Lizzie’s baking is fantastic. She offers sweet, savoury and everything in between.

Lizzie has a few pop up bakeries throughout the week so get yourself down to one so you can enjoy her baking first hand.

Here’s our nephew Jude picking some pastries for us at Turks Head Inn at Lizzie’s pop up bakery.

This is exactly what is all about. Discovering the brilliant little businesses on our doorstep, meeting the people behind them and showing them some support.

A small spend can make a big difference.

So whether you like a sausage roll or need a pudding for Christmas, pop and see Lizzie.

Let's keep supporting local businesses and giving people like Lizzie the best possible chance to succeed.

This weeks nomination goes to Dan Wedgwood to see who he can help with his £5.

Well done to RWB Accounting & Tax and CJ Mortgage Hub Ltd.

WE'RE BACK!

Our 2nd FREE Business & Financial Drop In Clinic

Have you ever dreamed of starting your own business? Perhaps you've thought about becoming your own boss but aren't quite sure where to begin?

Well, why not come and have a chat with us?

📅 Monday 2nd November
⏰ 11am – 1pm
📍 Starfish Enterprise Hub, Weymouth
💰 Completely FREE!

I'll be back offering free, friendly advice on starting and running your own business, from choosing the right business structure to understanding your accounts, tax and finances.

I'll also be joined by Nick from Nicholas Carroll & Financial Associates who will be on hand to discuss ways to build a more secure financial future, whether that's through pensions, ISAs or other investment options.

You'll also have the opportunity to look around the fantastic co-working space at The Starfish Enterprise Co-work Hub. which is part of the WADT. This modern, welcoming space has been developed to support local businesses, entrepreneurs and start-ups. It's a brilliant environment for anyone looking to take that next step.

Why are we doing this?

Because we believe in Weymouth.

We want to see our town, its people and its businesses prosper and thrive.

We know there are people out there with brilliant ideas, ambitions and dreams who perhaps just need a little encouragement, some guidance or someone to point them in the right direction.

If giving up a couple of hours of our time and sharing our knowledge for free helps even one person take that first step towards building something of their own, then it's absolutely worth it.

As the saying goes, "You don't have to be great to start but you do have to start to be great!"

So why not pop down for a coffee and a friendly, informal chat? No pressure, no obligation and absolutely no charge.

We're here to help the people of Weymouth and beyond and we'd love to see you there!

Please share this with anyone who's ever mentioned wanting to start their own business. You never know whose journey you might help kick-start.

Great stuff Ian RWB Accounting & Tax I will do my best to live up to your standards!

Watch this space!

This week's goes to Scott at Glitched on Abbotsbury Road!
And this is exactly why I love doing this!

I was driving back to the office when I spotted a new café on Abbotsbury Road and thought, "I must pop in there for this week's ."

And I'm so glad I did!

Not only do they serve beautiful hot drinks, but Scott has also created Weymouth's first Warhammer 40,000 home!

Complete with gaming tables, terrain and features, it's a place for enthusiasts to come together, play and enjoy something they love.
They're just one month into their journey and already going from strength to strength! Open Monday to Saturday, with Thursday night gaming sessions too.

This is exactly what is all about. Discovering the brilliant little businesses on our doorstep, meeting the people behind them and showing them some support.

A small spend can make a big difference.

So whether you're a Warhammer enthusiast or just fancy a decent coffee, pop in and say hello to Scott!

Let's keep supporting local businesses and giving people like Scott the best possible chance to succeed.

This weeks nomination goes to Nicholas Carroll & Financial Associates to see who he can help with his £5.

📣Entries needed!!📣
With just under 3 weeks to go until race day, we're sadly in the unfortunate position where we currently don't have enough full marathon entries to make it viable to run the event with the number of marshals needed to cover the course.

So, if you had been considering entering but hadn't yet done so, please head to our website and enter *before* Sunday 13th September.

We also need more volunteer marshals so if you can help in this way please email [email protected].

The event takes place on Saturday 26th September from Bagwell Farm Touring Park and follows a beautiful route offering spectacular views.

To enter the full marathon head to:
https://hangersheroes.eventrac.co.uk/e/the-hangers-heroes-fleet-and-feet-trail-14294

More information available here:
https://www.hangersheroes.co.uk/race-day-info-2/

10k and half marathon entries are also still very welcome!

Please share with all your walking and running buddies!

Less than 4 days to go before these three beauties take on the gruelling challenge of circumnavigating the Isle of Wight on foot!

Wishing the lads the very best of luck for what is going to be one seriously tough challenge. I’ll be there with them every step of the way in spirit… although physically, I’ll be at home with my feet firmly up. 😊

An incredible challenge for an incredible cause, raising money and awareness for the British Heart Foundation. ❤️

Best of luck lads, go smash it!

P.S. There’s still time to show your support and donate:
