Aaron has passed his R04 Pensions and Retirement Planning exam, following his R01, R02 and R03 successes.

Manos has also passed R03 Personal Taxation as he continues working towards his Diploma alongside his work as our Mortgage Adviser.

We see the effort that goes into studying alongside their day jobs, so it’s lovely to see that work paying off for them both.

A warning light doesn’t always mean there’s a serious problem. Sometimes, it’s just a sign that something needs a little attention.

If you’re saving for your first home, it’s easy to have a number in your head that you think you need to reach before you can even start looking.

But that number might not be as high as you think.

Some lenders will consider a deposit as low as 5%. A bigger deposit can have its advantages, of course, but there isn’t one magic number that everyone needs to save.

Our mortgage adviser, Manos, spoke about this recently and made a good point: people can spend years renting and saving for a bigger deposit, without realising they may have been in a position to buy much sooner.
