6 years in business 🙌❤️

Again I just want to say a massive thank you to my clients for the continued support and patience over the last few years, I have sent all monthly clients an important email, please read at your earliest convenience❤️❤️

Sadly, it's time to close the door on ASG, and it's on to pastures new for me🙌👏

I built this business from literally nothing, to what it became and i am so proud of myself for what I have achieved 🎉

But it's time for something new, and I cannot wait to get started.

Thank you to everyone who helped me get here, from a like on a post, to sharing my posts, word of mouth etc, honestly, to anyone who supported me in any way, I cant thank you enough ❤️

But this isn't the end for me, its the beginning 🙏

I wish you all the most success in the world ❤️🙌

All my love
Ahakera ❤️

Good afternoon 😊

Clients i apologise for the delayed response to messages. I had no child care for a week or so and then my husband took a heart attack, so everything's been up in the air. I have also locked myself out of messenger so can clients either email me, message the business page or WhatsApp me on 07519081690 and I will reply as quickly as I can, I am working from home this week so please bear with me 🙏 I will reply to all messages by tomorrow.

Anything urgent please just phone me as I'm not on my phone much at the moment 🙏

As always thank you for your patience and understanding ❤️

Good morning everyone

Hope your all well.

Unfortunately, i am not accepting any new clients at the moment. Due to childcare I can only take a certain amount of work each week, and I'm quite happy with the clients I currently have. This only applies to new clients, if I have done work for you previously, this doesn't apply to you.

After the terrible year last year, I need to keep my work at a level I can cope with and not overwhelm myself with too much. I can recommend a few good accountants to anyone looking for help.

Monthly clients I will be in touch this week to arrange collection of documents for next week 🙏

I am away on Friday the 20th for a long weekend, the office will be closed next Monday and I will return to work on the Wednesday 😊

Hope you all have a great week 😊

✨️Monthly Clients✨️

I have sent over invoices for this month. Please check your emails.

If your payments have not been received, you will notice a 10% late fee charge on your invoice, I said for months I was going to implement this, and finally, it's in motion. Not something I wanted to do, hence the reason it took so long for me to finally do it🙈 but I have bills to pay also, same as everyone else!

I will be in contact this week for monthly documents 😀

Hope you all had a great weekend

Thanks
Ahakera ❤️

What can i claim as an expense, being a sole trader?

I get asked this question frequently, so thought I would do a top tip on what you can claim as a sole trader👇

Costs you can claim as allowable expenses
These include:
• office costs, for example stationery or phone bills
• travel costs, for example fuel, parking, train or bus fares
• clothing expenses, for example uniforms
• staff costs, for example salaries or subcontractor costs
• things you buy to sell on, for example stock or raw materials
• financial costs, for example insurance or bank charges
• costs of your business premises, for example heating, lighting, business rates
• advertising or marketing, for example website costs
• training courses related to your business, for example refresher courses
• Software costs

If you work from home
You may be able to claim a proportion of your costs for things like:
• heating
• electricity
• Council Tax
• mortgage interest or rent
• internet and telephone use
You’ll need to find a reasonable method of dividing your costs, for example by the number of rooms you use for business or the amount of time you spend working from home.

If you use something for both business and personal reasons, you can claim back the business portion of the cost!!
You can only claim allowable expenses for the business costs.
Example
Your mobile phone bills for the year total £200. Of this, you spend £130 on personal calls and £70 on business.
You can claim for £70 of business expenses. If your not sure of the exact amounts for business, you can use a percentage based calculation i.e 60% for business use and 40% for personal use 👌

KEEP RECIEPTS AND INVOICES FOR EVERYTHING YOU SPEND AS A BUSINESS EXPENSE 👏

Changes to Employers National insurance contributions from April 2025- April 2028

This will affect Employers with a Secondary Class 1 National Insurance contributions (NICs) liability, with employees who earn at least £5,000 a year.

The new measure decreases the NICs Secondary Threshold

The Secondary Threshold is currently set at £9,100 a year, this will be reduced to £5,000 a year.

The lower Threshold of £5,000 a year will come in to effect from 6 April 2025 until 5 April 2028.

POINTS OF INTEREST FOR SMALL BUSINESSES

This does not impact other employer NICs thresholds such as the Apprentice Upper Secondary Threshold or the Upper Secondary Threshold for employees under 21.

Changes include :

• increases the secondary Class 1 NICs rate from 13.8% to 15%

• increases the maximum Employment Allowance from £5,000 to £10,500

Hope this helps 😊

12/01/2025

Hi everyone,

Apologies I haven't been active on here, to be honest, I haven't been keeping too well.

As most of you know I had my baby girl in September 2023, I'll be honest, life has been extremely tough since. I went from working 30 hours a week, to 9 hours a week due to childcare, with the same client load. For the last year I have been fighting a losing battle, I kept battling through and trying my best to get work done, but it always seemed 1 step forward, and 2 steps back. This led to my mental heath declining to the point, I almost wasn't here. In June last year, I finally reached out for help, and was signed off work from the doctors, I was in a really bad place mentally, suffering from severe depression and PPA. In any other line of work it's not so bad, but with accounts, everything has a deadline , and if the deadlines not met, HMRC issue fines. I let down alot of my clients as I couldn't get the work done, and I whole heartedly apologies for this, but it couldn't be helped, I had to take time away to try and get better, I had a few people reach out and offer to help, Michelle, Denise and Hazel ❤️ but I physically couldn't get myself to open my laptop and send over work to be done, it put me in such a panick , it felt like the world was going to end if I did, I was in what's called a freeze, it's took a long long time to get me out of that freeze, to not feel overwhelmed, and to realise, it's ok, nothing bads going to happen.

I have built my business up the last 5 years from literally nothing, to a sustainable, successful business, but last year it all fell apart, no matter how hard I tried. 6 months later, and with alot of help and support, I'm now in the best place I have been mentally in the last year. I feel like I can breath again, and I'm ready to get back to work and make my business a success again, and make things right again!

I don't remember much from last year as my brain was under so much stress, but I'm pretty sure I have still missed things for clients, if this applies to you, please send me a message, and i will rectify any outstanding work needing done. I'm not taking on any new clients at the moment, as I'm still playing catch up with having months off. I need to have my own clients accounts upto date and running smoothly again, this doesn't apply to anyone I have done work for before, new clients only.

Life gets tough sometimes, but the rain don't last forever ❤️

I didn't want to put this post up, but I can't keep messaging everyone individually explaining my situation, so this was the easiest way.

To all my clients, I honestly can't thank you enough for your patience, support and understanding ❤️🙏 and I promise this year, normal service will resume, and I will be back on my game ❤️

My working days at the office are a Tuesday and Thursday 🙏 I will reply to all messages tomorrow.

I wish you all an amazing and successful 2025 ❤️

Thanks for reading
Ahakera ❤️❤️
