small to medium sized family businesses. This part of the business cycle can be very difficult and stressful for new clients and we provide constant assistance and back-up to allow the business to develop. All aspects of the new business are covered from liaising with banks and financiers to covering all statutory and revenue compliance work. CFW’s turnaround of work is geared to clients needs. Substantial investment in I.T. permits not only accurate and professional accounts to be provided to clients, but assists us in remaining cost effective to our clients. We have been established for over 25 years and we pride ourselves on providing both a professional and personal service to deliver the right solutions for your business. CFW has five partners and over 15 staff with many years experience in a wide range of business sectors and also has specialist knowledge in many areas. The growing number of women in business has not been overlooked by us and we appreciate that 50% of our potential clients are women. The office is getting into the World Cup spirit! 🏆

We’ve proudly put up our England flags, alongside a very important (if slightly smaller!) Scotland flag in recognition of the many clients and our team members with Scottish roots.

Like many businesses across the UK, our team and clients come from a wide range of backgrounds and nationalities, which is something we’re proud to celebrate. Whether you’re supporting England, Scotland, another nation, or simply enjoying the football, we wish everyone a fantastic tournament.

🚗 Don't miss out on the increased tax-free mileage rates

As part of the Chancellor Rachel Reeves' recent 'Great British Summer Savings' announcement, tax-free mileage rates have increased by 10p per mile for the 2026/27 tax year.

The good news? The increase is backdated to 6 April 2026, meaning both employees and self-employed individuals may be entitled to claim additional tax relief on business miles already undertaken this tax year.

A big thank you to everyone who joined us yesterday for our monthly Netwalking walk with Wilson Browne Solicitors it was fantastic to see so many local professionals out networking, connecting, and enjoying the fresh air together. 🚶‍♀️🚶‍♂️

These walks are a great way to build relationships in a relaxed setting, and we really appreciate everyone who takes the time to come along and support them.

The first MTD returns are due to be filed by 7th August 2026 for those with a start date of 1 April 2026— getting organised early will save stress later on.

We were delighted to receive a lovely thank you from Rotary Club of Kettering Huxloe following their recent charity dinner event.

Members of the CFW team were pleased to attend an inspiring evening featuring guest speakers Jonathan Agnew and Eboni Usoro-Brown, who even brought along the gold medal she won at the 2018 Commonwealth Games, a fantastic moment for everyone there.
Supporting local charities and community events is something we’re proud to be part of, and it was wonderful to see so many people coming together for such a worthwhile cause.

Thank you to the Rotary Club for organising such a memorable evening.

P11Ds – are you ready for the deadline? 📄

If your limited company provides benefits to employees, you may need to submit a P11D to HMRC.

A P11D is required where staff receive benefits such as:
• Company cars 🚗
• Private medical insurance 🏥
• Other taxable benefits provided by the business

These benefits must be reported to HMRC as the company is required to pay National Insurance on them.

📌 Key deadlines to remember:
• 6 July 2026 – P11D submission deadline (for the tax year ending 5 April 2026)
• 22 July 2026 – Payment of any Class 1A National Insurance (if paying electronically)

Getting this right and on time helps avoid penalties and ensures compliance with HMRC requirements.
