To anyone in the CIS scheme, please regularly check your CIS is being reported to HMRC correctly. Yet another new client is temporarily out of pocket as the previous accountants didn't report correctly!
Sign into your HMRC account and check under PAYE that CIS deducted from subcontractors is showing under charges and CIS suffered is showing as a credit. Please don't assume its ok.

The Companies House ID verification is causing a few issues and having had to deal with a few now, the most common issue if the incorrect date of birth on the directors or PSC appointment.
Some have been wrong for years!
To correct it, Sign in to Companies House WebFiling, select the "All forms" tab, choose "Replace a previous filing that contained an error or had missing information," and select the correct form and follow the instructions.
This can be done by the officers of the company.
