4 years ago on Tuesday 24 May 2018, I became part of a realm of possibilities by being inducted as a member of Junior Chamber International (JCI).
JCI is a membership driven organisation of enterprising young leaders between the ages 18-40 with a mission to provide development opportunitues that empower young people to create positive change.
JCI has played a pivotal role in my leadership, individual and professional development. Providing a platform to interact with like minded young enterprising leaders, mentorship, community action, networking and the list is endless.
All the growth and development has been through countless sacrifices and refusing to be mediocre. Attending and assisting in organising meetings, trainings, events, workshops and projects. Some times clashing with family, work and other commitments.
As Dr Xolani Ndlovu (2018 JCI Zimbabwe National President) says, Those who Serve Deserve. From the first time hearing this statement, I have seen it come true inside and outside JCI with the opportunitues that continue to come along the way as one seek to find means and ways to serve one another.
The climax for me to date as a member of JCI has been a call to physically train at the 2022 JCI Africa and the Middle East Conference held last month in Hammamet Tunisia. I can attest that through preparing, delivering and receiving feedback after performing at that level one is never the same, gears shift.
Special thanks to The Game Changer Family comprising of advisors, mentors, friends, partners (Realtor Ville Real Estate, Exidezim, Musabvunda, Tumaz Apparel) who believe in me, continue to utter positive words of encouragement, hold my hands and support in many ways to see each step come to life. "It takes a village to raise a child."
Thank you JCI Capital - Zimbabwe, JCI Zimbabwe and the JCI fraternity.
God is leading the way.
