Short-Term Insurance Representative (Commercial & Personal Lines)
Location: Southbroom
Employment Type: Full-Time
We are a dynamic and growing insurance brokerage seeking a qualified Short-Term Insurance Representative with experience in both Commercial and Personal Lines. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing professional advice, servicing an existing client portfolio, and driving new business in line with regulatory and company standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide expert advice on short-term insurance products (commercial and personal lines)
Manage and service an existing portfolio of clients
Identify and secure new business opportunities
Conduct risk assessments and recommend appropriate cover
Handle policy administration, renewals, and endorsements
Assist clients with claims processes and ensure efficient resolution
Ensure full compliance with regulatory requirements and internal procedures
Minimum Requirements:
Full qualification as per FSCA requirements (RE5 essential; relevant NQF Level 4 or higher in Short-Term Insurance)
Class of Business completed for both Personal and Commercial Lines
Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar role within a brokerage environment
Proven track record in client service and new business development
Strong knowledge of short-term insurance products and underwriting principles
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Computer literacy (MS Office and insurance systems)
