Why do I need a Financial Adviser/Planner?
I like to share my view with an analogy...
Let's think of a personal Trainer in the gym, can you exercise without one? Yes you can.
Can you google some programs and diets to follow by yourself? Yes you can.
Will you see an improvement in your health and well being? If you are disciplined, then yes you will.
So I can ask the same question, why do I need a personal trainer?
The fact of the matter is, we are not all as disciplined as we should be for starters.
A trainer will keep you accountable, no sleeping in and skipping gym, because your trainer will be on your case! We also tend to be satisfied with doing the minimum, if your program says 10 reps, then we tend to stop at 10, a trainer should however motivate you to push harder and become better, not just stay in cruise mode! A personal trainer also has a different point of view while you train, spotting the mistakes, the lack of form and is thus better suited to assist with the corrections. And lastly, let us not forget, this is what a trainer does, day in and day out, not just 1 hour, 3x per week. They have knowledge and experience that can be of such great value in pursuing your goals.
Likewise, a financial planner is there to keep you motivated and accountable. Focused on the financial goals that you have set for you and your family. An adviser also offers a different point of view, since we tend to sometimes think with our feelings, not worrying about the future, but chasing the immediate satisfaction of the here and now when it comes to finances. And lastly, this is what we do, every day. Adding knowledge about investment types, market performance, long term projections, tax implications and Risk protection to better meet your needs.
So yes, you can go at it alone, but you can also be much more effective by partnering with a trusted financial adviser. Contact me today and let's start the financial training!
