⚠️TAX NINJA WARNING: SARS SCAM EMAILS ARE BACK! ⚠️
Did you know that this is not a legitimate SARS email?
How can you tell it's a phishing scam?
🔎 Start by checking the sender's email address.
SARS uses official email addresses ending in .gov.za. Be extremely cautious of emails coming from any other domain.
🔎 There are several red flags in this document:
❌ No taxpayer name appears on the notice.
❌ No tax reference number is provided.
❌ The document includes SARS "banking details". SARS is generally listed as a public beneficiary on banking platforms and does not typically request payments in this manner.
❌ The notice creates a sense of urgency by demanding immediate payment.
🚨 Do not click on any links.
🚨 Do not make any payments.
🚨 Always verify any SARS correspondence through eFiling or the SARS MobiApp.
Tax season is approaching, and unfortunately, scam and phishing emails tend to increase during this period. Stay vigilant and always verify before taking action.
Protect yourself. Protect your money. Protect your information.
