Without education, where would we be?
Naidoo Memorial Primary School celebrated its 90th anniversary.
Our founder, Mr Suresh Naidoo’s grandfather, had a dream; after his general store and other business ventures succeeded, he saw a gap: during segregation and the lead-up to apartheid, the Indian community had no schools
Instead of spending on a flashy lifestyle, he understood that education was the only way to uplift our community
90 years later, his vision lives on: The Umkomaas/Roseneath/Naidooville Community can boast bright, hopeful pupils who represent the country overseas and serve as beacons of hope for their people.
What struck us most were the former pupils, politicians, professionals, and leaders, all because someone believed in the value of education.
