In a previous comment, I mentioned that homeowners could enjoy the interest rate reduction the Minister granted this week.

However, there is a far better option. Ask the bank to keep deducting as if the rate had not dropped and use the extra amount to reduce the term.

A 240-month term drops to 227 months for someone who tries this option! And there will be a few more reductions coming soon!
