Uranus and Pluto were conjunct in 1965 and 1966. This started a big new astrological cycle with big social shifts. In the US, it was connected to the Vietnam War, Civil Rights Movements, Hippie culture and NASA lunar orbit missions. The contraceptive pill was developed in the 1960’s giving women more control over their bodies and life choices.

Uranus is the agitator, the planet associated with freedom and independence, innovation and technology. It is connected to electricity. It’s nature is unpredictable and unstable.

Pluto is associated with the underworld. What is dark and secret? Pluto travels unseen and forces us to discard what is no longer beneficial and supportive in our lives. It starts a process of purging and decay. This is often messy and yet it is what is discarded that comes to nourish us once it’s been through a process of shedding and discarding to create the compost for future growth. It is this death and rebirth cycle which is so important in the process of life on earth.

These two planets speak about a process of creative destruction. What needs to be discarded and what emerges? It sets about big social adjustments that are unstoppable. Once they have momentum things change regardless.

Between 1995 and 1997 Uranus was sextile Pluto. This was an interesting time for South Africa as we embarked on our democratic journey post 1994. We had much hope and anticipation of better things to come for our collective. But it was also associated with the Bosnian War and Yugoslavian wars and the world trying to make sense of the Rwandan Genocide in 1994 - wars associated with ethnic cleansing.

Between 2012 to 2015 Uranus was square Pluto. This was a very difficult time economically and became known as the Great Recession across the globe. Conflict seems ongoing in the Middle East and in Central and North Africa.

Now Uranus will trine Pluto between July 2026 and May 2028. These planets are exact in

We are witnessing a time of profound change and this process of creative destruction has a momentum of its own. Uranus is now in Gemini and Pluto in Aquarius. The innovation and disruption will be felt in areas of life associated with knowledge, information, trade, ideas and transport. Driverless cars are no longer far fetched. The nature of war has shifted enormously. Drones and missiles dominate the skies. This has made it difficult for traditionally strong nations and armies to propel smaller, more nuggety opposition. The wars in Ukraine/Russia and Iran/Middle East have both demonstrated how significantly the dynamics of war have changed.

Pluto in Aquarius is a reminder to leaders who are disconnected from the needs of ordinary people to watch out. When Pluto was last in Aquarius it was the time of the French Revolution and the American War of Independence. But as always there is a dark side and we need to be mindful of how big tech and big data can control the lives of ordinary people. It is very much a time of power to the people, but ordinary people need to step up and start creating the societies they wish to be part of in the future.

We had a Saturn Neptune conjunction on 20 Feb 2026 at 0 Aries – the World Axis. This was the start of a new 36 year cycle which also had a profound impact on the world. This cycle is always connected to major changes in Russia. When it last happened in 1989 we watched the fall of communism and the collapse of the Berlin Wall. It was also connected with the 1953 Iranian coup which was instigated by the UK and US and allowed Mohammad Reza Pahlavi, the Shah of Iran to rule more firmly as a monarch. Saturn and Neptune were conjunct in 1952 and 1953 and connected to the dissolution of certain structures and land boundaries.

What is going to unfold over the next few years will be Neptune making aspects to both Uranus and Pluto. These are the 3 outer planets all in a tight configuration exerting more pressure for change.

Looking at these exact dates we need to see what unfolds this year between June/July and Sep 2026.

Change is inevitable. The speed of change is also likely to be significant as air and fire elements dominate. Buckle up – we are in for exciting, turbulent times. We also need to consider climate matters. There is a strong likelihood that we are about to experience a Super El Nino with the warming of the central and eastern Pacific Ocean. This could lead to droughts and flooding across the globe. Not only could war disrupt trade as oil and fertiliser trade is blocked, which will have an impact on agriculture and food production, but so too could climate issues.

Uranus conjunct Sun indicates that things are unstable and changing, even chaotic. We are needing to reinvent ourselves in the ever changing world around us. This Full Moon squares the Nodes in 2nd and 8th houses. Financial matters are in focus. South Node in 2nd indicates personal resources - slave to money? How does this connect with your sense of self worth? North Node in 8th speaks about needing to rely on others. But with Pluto in 7th there is pressure on partnerships and with ruler of 7th Saturn fallen in Aries in 9th this indicates pressure from legal or contractual disputes. All this points to the necessity of fundamental changes. What decisions need to be taken legally? Is there a fundamental difference in belief systems? Does your relationship support you? You are certainly frustrated with your setup at home and in your life. Can you support yourself personally? What will make you feel safe and happy? Is it a place or finding comfort and support within? Time to journey spiritually within. Disappointment with the direction of traditional religion and other charlatans in this space. Today Mars moves into Ta**us. The energy changes. In Aries Mars is aggressive and determined. In Ta**us, Mars is forced to slow down. Ta**us is a fixed, earth sign. This Mars needs to be more deliberate. It is perhaps more stubborn and unwilling to change direction. It may bring extra qualities of grit and determination to stick to a difficult task. This Mars might feel stuck and cornered and more inclined to anger and frustration. Mars is moving to an exact square with Pluto on 26 May 2026. This is described as a turning point. Push through or surrender?

This New Moon at 25 Ta**us conjunct the fixed star Algol opposes the Ramaphosa Sun and Moon. This is a complex New Moon. The Moon is exalted in Ta**us and yet also out of bounds. This makes it more unpredictable. This New Moon is conjunct the Fixed Star Algol adding difficulty. This star is associated with losing one’s head and is often connected to the fall of leaders. Ramaphosa has indicated he will take this case on review. The Constitutional Court ruled that Parliament must set up a committee to deliberate the Independent Report. Parliament failed to do this at the time. Things have changed significantly in Parliament since this issue first arose in 2022. The ANC no longer holds a majority. Ramaphosa certainly fighting for his political future. New Moons are always seen as seed points. What emerges in the future?

Constitutional court has ruled that a Section 89 report that found Ramaphosa has a case to answer must be aired before an impeachment committee in Parliament. The previous process was declared unconstitutional.

This has been a long time in the making. The farm break in happened on 9 Feb 2020 when a large amount of US dollars was stolen from a sofa. Saturn and Pluto conjunct Mars square Saturn Neptune - a desperate attempt to suppress news of money stolen and control the narrative. Birth time uncertain. Chart orientation could change.

Arthur Fraser laid criminal charges against Ramaphosa on 1 June 2022. Pluto conjunct Mars and Saturn opposed Pluto square Sun and Moon. South Node on Sun and Moon. Ramaphosa is fighting to avoid accountability. This is a very difficult year for Ramaphosa. Holomisa asked Parliament to investigate on 7 June. Ramaphosa suspended the Public Protector on day she announced the investigation on 9 June. ATM submits motion to National Assembly to remove Ramaphosa from office on 14 June. Ramaphosa refuses to answer questions in National Assembly on 30 Aug 2022. Speaker announces independent panel on 14 September 2022. Ramaphosa submits submissions to panel on 7 Nov 2022. Independent report finds Ramaphosa has a case to answer on 30 November 2022. National Assembly blocks impeachment inquiry on 6 December 2022. The ANC used their majority in Parliament to suppress this process. They no longer have a majority.

Public Protector clears Ramaphosa on 30 June 2023. So too SARS on 21 Aug 2023.

EFF files papers in Constitutional Court on 8 Feb 2024. NPA drops charges on 1 Oct 2024. Constitutional Court hears EFF and ATM challenge on 26 Nov 2024. Uranus opposed Sun and Moon between June 2024 and April 2025. Personal and legal crisis for Ramaphosa.

EFF marches to demand release of delayed Constitutional Court judgement on 28 November 2025.

Constitutional Court declares process unconstitutional and refers process back to Parliament for Ramaphosa to answer to impeachment committee on 8 May 2026. Mars opposition to Saturn and Neptune. This oil crisis as a result of US/Israel vs Iran war has fuelled a global energy crisis.
