degree at UCT (1984 to 1987) majoring in Accounting and Economics. Thereafter I worked in the Advertising and Media industries in Johannesburg and Cape Town, ending my media and marketing career at Independent Newspapers in Cape Town as the Marketing Manager. I changed direction and chose to study again in order to pursue a career in astrology. I graduated from Rod Suskin’s School of Astrology in 2007 completing the Diploma in Astrology with distinction. Rod Suskin is South Africa’s most well known astrologer. His course is internationally recognized as an outstanding and complete training for professional astrologers. I loved studying astrology as a mature student and continue to do so. I gained huge insight into my own life and have developed a tremendous sense of acceptance with regards certain aspects of my life that were challenging at a point in time. Life presents us with challenges at certain times and it is very empowering to understand the process at play within the confines of the karma of the chart. I analyse charts according to traditional astrological techniques but make sure that I communicate the information to my clients in layman’s terms.

Pluto stations today and moves direct again. This is a journey inwards. Pluto has been retrograde since early May. Over this period how have you evolved and transformed? What are you ready to discard? What no longer serves you positively? Pluto always indicates a journey of transformation - surrendering to things beyond your control.

Pluto is conjunct the fixed Altair - time to explore and be bold.

Pluto is square Venus which is still retrograde. What needs to change in your relationship? What about financial issues? How do these impact your relationship? It’s very important at this time to work out what truly matters in your life. Explore your values. What needs to change?

Progress might still be slow as Saturn, Neptune and Uranus are all still retrograde. Focus on the planning, the sacrifices necessary and the opportunities. Mercury is due to travel retrograde in Scorpio on 24 October until 13 November. This is a time of questioning and clarification. What do you intuitively know?

Mars is trine Saturn giving direction and wanting results. Build slowly and take important steps towards your goals knowing there are always consequences to your actions.

Time to be patient and sit with the discomfort until you know what needs to change. Sometimes it’s not about forcing change but allowing things to unfold.

Ukrainian drones targeted the critical cloud and AI hubs of Russian tech giant Yandex between 7 and 11 October 2026. What was fascinating about these strikes was the widespread agreement that bot attacks on various platforms plummeted post these attacks on Yandex.

Here we see the powerful opposition between Mars and Pluto which indicates war and destruction. Mars rules both Saturn and Neptune in Aries and this is a war against corruption, lies and misinformation. The signature of this time also includes Uranus in Gemini - new ways of spreading misinformation and propaganda and how these fuel conflicts.

Interesting seeing fallen Saturn (buildings) in Aries on Asc of this chart opposite fallen Sun in Libra close to New Moon.

Mars is ruler of this chart and also Saturn. Mars is in opposition to Pluto indicating death and destruction from a traumatic event.

Retrograde Venus in 8th house is ruler of Sun in Libra. Mars and Pluto are each in a tight square to Venus. These 3 planets all speak about loss of life and the financial implications of this destructive earthquake.

The New Moon on 10 Oct at 17 Libra is associated with the Sabian symbol - Two men placed under house arrest.

The symbolism emphasises the importance of accountability and the recognition that every action carries consequences. It is a reminder that personal freedom is strengthened when guided by integrity and respect for others. It also highlights the importance of fairness and justice.

It invites us to reflect on the importance of personal responsibility and social order. The balance between personal freedom and social responsibility.

True freedom begins with self discipline rather than external permission. Individual actions exist within a web of social agreements and accountability is the structure through which fairness is maintained in society.

Zuma’s birth time is unknown hence this is not a timed chart. But what we can see are important generational transits for someone his age - 84 years.

Pluto opposite Pluto has been ongoing since March 2025 and concludes in Dec 2026. Pluto is always associated with loss and letting go. A time of profound change.

Uranus conjunct Saturn (July 2024 to May 2025) and Uranus Return (May 2025 to March 2026). Endings and beginnings.

Uranus squares Venus from Aug 2026 to May 2027. This Venus in Pisces loves women and money. What changes?

Saturn opposed Neptune from April 2025 to Feb 2026. This is certainly an indication of disillusionment and poor health or compromised immune system.

Next year Saturn will conjunct his Sun from May 2027 to Jan 2028. Are his responsibilities complete? Is his vitality compromised? Saturn is another indicator of endings.

A laboratory technician at the Irkutsk Anti-Plague Research Institute in Siberia, died in early October 2026 from an unconfirmed illness. Russia is claiming that she died of “pneumonia of an unknown/undetermined origin". The WHO wants Russia to share transparent data.

Bacteria and viruses are ruled by Pluto in a tense opposition to Mars indicative of infectious disease. With aspects of Uranus and Neptune to Pluto this indicates that a rapid change in the situation is likely and Neptune adds to the lack of clarity and speculation. Sun opposition to Neptune indicates decreased vitality with a compromised immune system. But it could also speak about leadership that is economical with the truth. Neptune is always associated with lies and deception.

7 Oct - Mercury conjunct Venus opens conversation about relationships and values. In Scorpio nothing is superficial. It’s a deep dive.

10 Oct - Mars square Venus brings drama and tension in relationships. The tension between masculine and feminine. Highlights gender based violence and what actions must be taken to change this situation.

20 Oct - Pluto square Venus highlights how toxic relationships are that are possessive and controlling. The dangers women are sometimes exposed to in relationships where the power dynamics are not equal. What needs to change? Will this relationship survive? What do you need to let go? This is also connected to material things and debt. Is the situation sustainable?

24 Oct - Mercury stations retrograde in Scorpio opening a deep dive into thoughts and insights. Silence. The Scorpion is mute. But the intensity is deep. What emerges in the silence? Can we find our authentic voice?

24 Oct - Sun conjunct Venus shines a light on what truly matters. The self and your values and important relationships.

25 Oct - Retrograde Venus enters Libra and this opens up opportunities to reset your relationship finding your centre through understanding what’s important to you.

28 Oct - Venus opposed Chiron offers a time of healing having let go or finding a way to reset where you are valued and you find your true value within.

28 Oct - Mercury square Mars can be a frustrating and argumentative time. Ask for what you want. Find your voice.

30 Oct - Venus trine Nodes there is something inevitable about this time. A knowing.

4 Nov - Venus sextile Jupiter opens up a period of blossoming. Knowing what is good and worthy.

4 Nov - Sun conjunct Mercury shines a light on your deep insights gathered over this period.

10 Nov - Venus sextile Mars offers some resolution and a way forward for your relationship and those aspects of your life that you value.

13 Nov - Mercury stations direct and our thoughts are clearer. The silence has revealed what needed to surface. It’s been a time of listening not shouting.

14 Nov - Venus stations direct and the reevaluation is complete. The balance of power in relationships has been reset. It’s a turning point. What did you choose?

Dramatic emergency on the Israel bound Flydubai flight which departed Dubai at 07:05 local time.

The Copilot (Omani) stabbed the Captain (Indian) about an hour or two into the fight. The Captain heroically fought back, managed to open the cockpit door and passengers came to assist after the plane plummeted in attitude. The aeroplane landed safely in Tabuk in Saudi Arabia with no loss of life.

Mars opposition to Pluto on the angles describes the crisis. A bloody battle and heroic rescue.

This is a very intense Full Moon - 26 September - as it is angular in this chart on the Asc.

Is it possible to take yourself on a healing journey? Can you take responsibility for your own transformation? What if through healing you no longer see yourself as a victim? How does that change what you see for yourself?

Mars is the ruler of the Full Moon in Aries. It is in the final degree of Cancer in the 4th house of home and family. What needs to change for you when you consider your own needs within your home/family? Do you feel safe and protected? Are you able to protect your family? Where do you want your energy directed?

This Full Moon will sextile both Uranus and Pluto. What needs to change in terms of your ideas of success/friendship and connection and your sense of community?
