💡 Fatigue and burnout aren’t always solved by taking a break.
Yes, rest is important — but if you return to the same environment, with the same expectations, and the same overload… the fatigue 😩 will return just as quickly.
I’ve come to realise that fatigue is often a symptom, not the problem.
Until we address the root cause ⚠️, no amount of rest will fully restore us.
That’s where boundaries come in. ✋
Healthy boundaries can help prevent burnout — but here’s the tricky part:
🧠 Boundaries are not just things we communicate to others.
They’re also reminders to ourselves.
You can express them, sure — but that doesn’t mean they’ll be respected.
It’s up to you to reinforce them 🔁. Again and again, if needed.
Especially in environments where the default is to take on
“just one more thing” ➕📋
As we head into the long weekend ⛱️,
I hope you get a moment to pause ⏸️, recover 🛌, and reflect 🔍.
And maybe, to quietly re-enforce a boundary or two.
