This year the IRS has faced several glitches and setbacks trying to process all the taxes being filed. Please be patient, they're doing everything they can to process your taxes and refunds as quickly as possible. The same is true for State.

** IRS technical issues in 2026 include login failures with ID.me, "Where's My Refund" unavailability, and delayed electronic payment processing. Known system glitches are causing some taxpayers to receive erroneous CP14 notices for unpaid taxes or other issues. Users should check for updates on the IRS Known Issues and Solutions page.

Common IRS Technical Issues & Troubleshooting
"Where's My Refund" (WMR) Errors: WMR may show "status not available" during heavy traffic or if taxpayer data has not yet processed. Wait 24-48 hours before checking again.

Tax Update!!! This year to help crack down on scams and fraud, the IRS is requiring a copy of your current USA issued ID and social security cards for you, your spouse and any dependents (as applicable to your Taxes)...

Also Tax Brackets have changed, anyone claiming overtime income should bringing a copy of last paystub for 2025, and individual receiving tips at work need to bring in documentation or proof to claim on your Taxes... and anyone who bought a new US vehicle may qualify for additional perks- bring purchase papers and any loan interest paid...

The big beautiful bill is in affect and should help many people.
