School is out for my kids and summer break is here! So we snuck away on a vacation my wife Becky has been talking about for a long time. Moab Utah was the first stop and it was beautiful!! 😍 I even climbed an arch for this incredible sunset picture. ☀️

Like a lot of the families I work with, life is busy. Between work, kids, activities, and the never-ending to-do list, it's easy to convince yourself you'll take that trip "someday."

Standing in Moab, I wasn't thinking about the stock market or interest rates. I was thinking about how quickly kids grow up and how these moments become the stories your family tells for years.

My clients work hard for their money. I believe their money should work just as hard to help them live the life they want—whether that's family vacations, helping their children, retiring with confidence, or simply having fewer financial worries.

Please go out and make a summer memory with your family this year... No matter how far or close it might be to home. ❤️

Clients and I always talk about how they are going to spend their days once they no longer have to wake up to an alarm clock ⏰ and head to work! 💼🧰

I often hear traveling and golf. But have yet to hear traveling to play mini golf as an answer! But that is now one of my retirement dreams! I was introduced to competitive mini golf a few years back and I've been hooked ever since. 😎 I picture an RV with my wife and I, seeing the country while traveling to tournaments. Hopefully she'll go along with my crazy dreams! 😂

Lucky for me, I can fit some competitive mini golf in while I am still working. ❤️ And last weekend in Minnesota, I picked up my second competition win, in a field that included a few players that had recently returned from playing in a World Tour championship as Team USA participants in England.

As always, the people are what makes this game so much fun. But the competition is a close second! 🏆

Here's my daughter Madelyn last weekend… just sitting quietly for a couple of minutes, staring out over the rambling river as the two of us played our local mini golf course. I just watched. ❤️

No ipad. No noise. Just her thinking as she let her putter sit in the blue river water. 💦

It hit me in that moment—kids don’t worry about money, retirement, or “what ifs.” They just trust that things will be okay.

Somewhere along the way, as adults, we lose that.... And it often turns into a stressor, a weight on our shoulders.

I talk to a lot of successful couples—especially women who carry a big part of the financial responsibility—and underneath it all, there’s often this quiet weight:

If you know me, you know golf (and mini golf) is one of my biggest passions—right alongside financial planning. And honestly, the two have a lot more in common than you might think!
