If you know someone who doesn’t usually file a return b/c only receive social security income, or don’t make enough to file a tax return, please let them know they can go to the co.gov website and file with ZERO INCOME to get their $800 TABOR before the April 15 deadline.
Or file an extension so you have more time!

You’ve got 3 DAYS to collect your $800 TABOR refund if you haven’t filed yet. Even if you had no income, low income, no federal need to file - get that CO return in before the TABOR expires 4/15!

Tax Tip of the day - have you heard of the TABOR refund? It’s excess sales tax collected by CO, refunded to full-time CO residents. This year it’s $800 per. Yes, that’s a free $800 per taxpayer free money. Here’s the kicker - YOU ONLY HAVE UNTIL APRIL 15 TO COLLECT IT. CO does not pay out TABOR to late filers. So if you’re one who files every three years (yes you can do that IF you’re owed refunds), you’re flushing state money away. Get yours by filing your return before April 15!
