We are proud to support SAPARS and the important work they do throughout our community.
It was an honor to participate in their golf tournament and contribute to an organization that provides critical support, advocacy, and resources for survivors.
Thank you to SAPARS for recognizing our support, and more importantly, thank you for the work you do every day to help those who need it most.

💬 In Their Own Words: A Q&A with Peter Cote
1. As a local business owner, what makes investing in SAPARS so meaningful to you?
"As a father, husband, brother and uncle, I want my family, and everyone in our community, to live in a world free from sexual violence. Until that day comes, it’s important that we continue to raise awareness, advocate for survivors and support the organizations doing this critical work.
That’s why investing in SAPARS is so meaningful to me. They provide advocacy, resources and hope to survivors during some of the most difficult moments of their lives. I’m proud that my business can help ensure those services remain available for the people in our community who need them most."
2. How does your business approach the idea of corporate social responsibility and supporting local survivors?
"At Peter Cote Tax Preparer, I believe corporate social responsibility means more than providing a service—it means being aware of the needs of your community and stepping in to help where you can.
This cause is especially important in our family. My wife has been a passionate advocate for survivors and the organizations that support them, and her dedication has reinforced just how vital these services are. While I hope no one ever needs them, I’m grateful they exist, and I’m committed to helping ensure they remain available. Supporting SAPARS is one way my business can give back and help strengthen the network of care available to survivors in our community."
3. What is your favorite part about being deeply rooted in our local Maine community?
"For me, it’s the relationships. As a local business owner, I’ve had the opportunity to work with individuals, families and small business owners throughout our community. Over time, many of those professional relationships have grown into genuine friendships.
Being part of a local community means having the opportunity to give back in ways that extend beyond the services you provide. Whether it’s supporting organizations like SAPARS, serving on local boards, volunteering your time or simply being someone clients know they can count on, it’s rewarding to know your business can have a positive impact throughout the year, not just during tax season."
