Tax tip!
One of the biggest complaints I hear at tax time is when clients end up owing the IRS!
Check your withholding.
Since federal taxes operate on a pay-as-you-go basis, taxpayers need to pay most of their tax as they earn income. You should check that you're withholding enough from your pay to cover taxes owed, especially if your personal or financial situations change during the year. To check withholding, you can use the IRS Tax Withholding Estimator ( https://www.irs.gov/individuals/tax-withholding-estimator ). If you want to change your tax withholding, you should provide your employer with an updated Form W-4.
Check your W-4 tax withholding with the IRS Tax Withholding Estimator. See how your withholding affects your refund, paycheck or tax due.
