Congratulations on your retirement, Lisa!

We first met Lisa at one of our women’s educational events in 2024. She wasn’t sure if she was ready to retire, but she knew retiring before age 60, was the goal. We put a plan into action, and for the past 2½ years, Lisa has worked closely with us, followed our advice, and met with us regularly to reach this major milestone.

Helping our clients prepare for this huge transition and then watching them live the retirement we’ve spent years planning for is one of the most rewarding parts of what we do. We’re honored to be a part of Lisa’s story.

After 26½ years with Verizon, Lisa officially retired last week, and she has a lot to look forward to!

After a successful career that began in sales, she’s trading her desk for the beach and making South Carolina, once her second home, her permanent home. She’s looking forward to relaxing at Sunset Beach, spending time with new friends and neighbors, and visiting her kids Connor and Chelsey and two grandkids, May 4, and Fox 10 months.

Her first year of retirement includes three cruises: The Mediterranean, The Caribbean, and an Alaskan cruise with her mom. She’s also excited to celebrate her son’s wedding next September.

When we asked Lisa to describe her experience working with Scott Advisory Group, she said: “They truly care about their clients, and I couldn’t be happier with the guidance and confidence they gave me to take this exciting next step in my life.”

We’re so happy for Lisa and look forward to making a trip down to South Carolina for our next in-person meeting! 🌊

Last night’s event was so much fun and a good reminder of why we hold them year after year. We had 25 wonderful ladies and a few husbands in the room with lots of questions that led to thoughtful conversations and connections. The best part was that nobody wanted to leave.
