Taxes can be complicated and it can be difficult to handle something so sensitive and personal, and I am ready to be your partner in the process.
A love of problem solving led me to pursue accounting at age 19, and after many years of working the 9-5 lifestyle in a variety of careers, I felt it was time to try something more entrepreneurial. In 2012 with a degree in Management, I made the natural decision to open a business selling mini-cupcakes at the farmers market. It was a fun time, but not necessarily a great business move, and the only one getting fat off the profits were the birds enjoying the leftovers in my compost pile.
In 2015, I decided it was time to try something else and I put away my apron for good. At this same time a friend of mine got a letter form the IRS stating she owed $8,000 to the government and she had no idea why. Wanting to make a difference, I decided that I should put my former accounting to good use and help people in situations like my friend’s, so I set out on the path to become involved in the world of tax preparation. I became an Enrolled Agent, which is the highest designation given to an individual, and it allows me to represent taxpayers in front of the IRS. There is also a licensing requirement for tax preparation in Oregon, and it is the only state with such stringent requirements. After acquiring my Oregon Licensed Tax Preparer exam I went to work for long time mentor, Jeri Benton.
After working with Jeri, I took the final step towards becoming a Licensed Tax Consultant and after passing all tests with flying colors, I launched Bonnie Arnold LLC in the Spring of 2018. Every client is my top client. I am available for number-crunching and hand-holding, and I consider myself to be your partner in making sure that you truly understand your situation. I am invested in you, and I will work my magic to get you to financial success.
