Deciding when to claim Social Security retirement benefits is an important part of retirement planning.

While benefits can begin as early as age 62, waiting until full retirement age, or even longer, can result in a larger monthly benefit. For anyone born in 1960 or later, full retirement age is 67, and delayed retirement credits can increase benefits for those who wait up to age 70.

The right timing depends on your individual circumstances, including how long you plan to work and how much retirement income you may need.

Connect with The Trust Company of Kansas to discuss how Social Security fits into your broader retirement income strategy.

📆 Medicare Open Enrollment begins October 15 and runs through December 7.

Even if you're satisfied with your current Medicare coverage, this is an important time to review your plan. Premiums, deductibles, benefits, prescription drug coverage, and service areas can change from year to year.

If your current coverage continues to meet your needs, you don't have to make a change. But taking a closer look each year can help you make sure your coverage still aligns with your needs and budget.

We’re proud to see our team members pursue their interests and talents outside of the office.🎨
