WIG aims to prepare students to make more knowledgeable investment decisions in the marketplace. This group plans to increase member’s understanding about investing in the stock market and will analyze current market trends. Members of Whitewater Investment Group will expand their knowledge of the market using investment games and tools such as Invoost and Marketwatch. Technology, Energy, Financia

l, etc., to allow for easier understanding and comprehension of the market. In future semesters, WIG will cover small caps, large caps, mutual funds, and eventually explore commodities, foreign markets, and start-ups. Members will better understand methods and avenues of investing through investment professionals and speakers, group tours at a variety of firms, and other various activities. WIG’s goal is to provide students with a basic understanding of the stock market to be able to comfortably make future investment and financial decisions.
