Tax Tip: Overtime Pay

There’s been a lot of talk about “no tax on overtime,” and here’s what that actually means for this year.

Under the One Big Beautiful Bill Act, part of your overtime pay may not be taxed at the federal level. Only the extra premium portion of overtime is excluded. In simple terms, the additional pay you earn for working overtime may reduce your taxable income.

For many people, this has already made a difference in their refund.

If you worked overtime this year and want to be sure it’s handled correctly on your return, this is one of those details worth having a professional look at.
